trucking
fueling commercial fleets
with lower carbon solutions
Commercial trucks carry most of the day-to-day products we depend on. With more delivery demand comes higher CO2 emissions — 26% of all U.S. transportation. They're hard to electrify, so their future depends on affordable, reliable and ever-cleaner energy options.

solution
adopting lower carbon fuel technology for trucks
Renewable fuels, innovative tech and ambitious policies could mean a cut in CO2 emissions for existing fleets — soon.

lower carbon intensity diesel for today’s engines
Managers can start lowering the carbon intensity of existing fleets now using clean-burning renewable diesel. Our goal is to grow Chevron’s renewable fuel capacity to 100,000 barrels per day by 2030.

tomorrow’s gas with benefits, on and off the road
This renewable fuel is fully interchangeable with conventional gas. It not only reduces methane emissions, but could also reduce animal waste emissions by 258 million tons every year.

the most abundant lower carbon energy source
A key player in a lower carbon future, hydrogen lets vehicles travel further with less refueling. Chevron produces about 1 million tons per year of hydrogen and is testing its use in fueling stations.

success stories

lowering the carbon intensity of heavy-duty distribution fleets
Through a variety of the latest tech, products and partners, we’re lowering carbon emissions in one of the "hardest-to-abate" industries. When it comes to the future of the trucking industry, change is in motion.
